ClearBra 3M paint protection film is composed of an extremely tough and durable thermoplastic urethane. This layer is covered by a clear coat that contains UV protectants to counteract harmful ultraviolet rays and to resist yellowing. This coat is attached with a high-performance, pressure-sensitive adhesive that ensures excellent adhesion to OEM paints, preventing costly environmental failures.

When ClearBra kits are properly applied, it will protect the high-wear areas of your vehicle such as hood, fenders and bumper. This OEM-approved clear urethane film does not compromise the vehicle's colour brilliance.

It protects from damage caused by stone chips, weather, bugs and abrasions from many other types of road debris. Clearbra Protects Your Vehicle Investment CLEAR & LASTING CHIP PROTECTION ClearBra's PPF manufacturers conduct routine testing of their Paint Protection Film using a gravelometer. This unit is designed to reproduce the effect of gravel impacting exposed painted surfaces of a car.

Testing is based on the SAE standard required by vehicle manufacturers material specifications. The YouTube Video below identifies the standard test on a 4 by 12 inch steel panel, half coated with the Paint Protection Film used by ClearBra, and the other half left exposed. This panel is left at room temperature to ensure complete adhesion.

After complete adhesion, the panel is frozen to -30F and placed inside the gravelometer. One pint of approximately 250-300 stones are sprayed at the coated surface at a velocity of 50-100 kph.  As this YouTube Video clearly shows, the panel section coated with ClearBra film was left undamaged while the unprotected side suffered chipping and dents.
